Taylor Hart can design, supply and install a wide range of suspended ceilings and partitions for use in many applications and environments. If you are looking for a different effect, we can work with the manufacturers to provide you with a totally unique solution to your installation design.

Partitions & Dry Linings GRG (Glass Reinforced Gypsum)
Partitions & Dry Linings
Partitions & Dry Linings
We install all types of partitioning systems for use in commercial or residential developments. Predominantly though, we install metal stud partitions and dry lining products manufactured by British Gypsum, Knauf or Lafarge.

GRG (Glass Reinforced Gypsum)
This product is similar to traditional fibrous plaster moulding except it is stronger and lighter, making it easier to install, more durable and repairable.
For the designer the possibilities for its application are endless, and GRG is often used in prominent places such as shopping malls, office entrance halls and supermarkets.
THL are an approved installer of this product, chiefly obtained from a leading manufacturer CEP.

Metal Ceilings Mineral Fibre Ceilings
Metal Ceilings
Metal Ceilings
As with the mineral fibre type of ceiling, metal ceilings offer simple solutions for building designers. Added value, however, is provided by the longer life expectancy and robustness of the metal product.
Metal ceilings are widely used in office type developments and the retail sector. Our regular clients here are Sainsbury Supermarkets, Norwich Union Investments and John Lewis Partnership.
Metal ceilings can be adapted like any other lining either by being curved, waved or formed to any shape required by the designer. See SAS or Armstrong.

Mineral fibre ceilings are usually installed in commercial office developments and provide an important economical solution for a wide range of building requirements such as fire protection, acoustic control, heating control and also a component to support lighting, air conditioning and other mechanical and electrical services.
There are many manufactures of mineral ceiling tiles and we at THL, are recommended by them as approved installation contractors for their products. Amongst them are Armstrong, OWA, Donn, Rockfon, CEP and Ecophon who between them offer a vast range of face patterns and edge details for the designer to choose from.

Passive Fire Protection Screeding
Passive Fire Protection
fiars
Fire protection that carries out its function without requiring manual or automatic initiation of its operation in the event of fire
The methods we use to protect structural steel are:
Bullet   Fire resisting boards
Bullet   Dry linings
Bullet   Mineral wool
Bullet   Intumescent coatings
The building regulations require certain periods of stability and compartmentation measures to provide secure escape routes and limit the spread in case of fire.  These minimum standards are there to protect life, not property and whether the proposals given in Approved Document B (ADB) are used, or the project uses a fire engineer to optimise the fire design these levels of protection must be provided.
Screeding
Taylor Hart Ltd have gained, through the acquisition of Bellworth Finishes Ltd, vast experience of rendering and screeding contracts and offer the following products:
Traditional floor screed:
Meets BSI standards and increasingly tough European regulations. Factory mixed, it provides excellent cement dispersion providing greater and more uniform strength throughout. The screed is workable for up to 12 hours and flexible enough for several different bases. Alternative mixtures will provide additional strength, early setting or can be used in sound and thermal insulation and weight-reduction applications.
Fibre screed:
Developed to meet the increasing demand for factory-mixed cement and sand screeds of all mix designs incorporating an even dispersion of polypropylene fibres. The presence of suitable fibres can help to give a more cohesive mix and help control cracking caused by intrinsic stresses.
Flow screed :
An innovative product delivering quality, speed and versatility, it can be easily laid usually between 10 to 20 times faster than conventional screed and can receive foot traffic within 36 hours.
Plastering Structural Stud
Plastering
Plastering
The most commonly specified wet plaster is Thistle Hardwall, a gypsum based undercoat plaster that can be used on most masonry. With a final coat of Thistle Multifinish it provides a smooth, inert, high quality surface to internal walls. The combination has a superior impact resistance, earlier surface drying and provides a durable base for the application of decorative finishes.
The recent increases in steel prices has led to more use of internal blockwork which in turn increases the likelihood that two coat plaster is used rather than drywall systems, primarily because the British market is highly price sensitive.
Structural Stud
Structural Stud
Structural stud is a more recent addition to THL services.
SFS is a versatile fast track building system manufactured from lightweight, cold roll formed galvanised steel sections which are screwed together on site.
This system is suitable where the speed of construction and a lightweight frame is crucial. The size of the stud used, spacing and anchorage are all determined by floor-to-floor heights, deflection criteria and lateral wind pressures. The manufacturers of the systems available provide invaluable assistance with design and calculation in order to develop a scheme with us.
Rendering

Coloured render is a recent and popular development. It can be applied to most types of masonry. It is a one coat finish that is supplied ready mixed and is through coloured and weather resistant. This type of render is a cost effective solution, requiring less time to complete, produces a decorative finish which is virtually maintenance free and guaranteed usually for ten years by the manufacturers.
A wide range of manufacturers and colours are available. It can be scraped, scraped with Ashlar cuts, stone or textured.
We can also provide traditional sand and cement render, which is still preferred by some clients. This can either be ready mixed or mixed on site. This type of render will need a finishing coat of a proprietary external masonry paint.
